Sean Greaves

Sean Greaves is a technologist and researcher based in London. He works at the Autonomy Institute, a think tank developing data-driven tools for sustainable economic planning. Since 2023, he has led the institute's practical exploration of large language models to accelerate the work of researchers, journalists, campaigners, and auditors.

Prior to Autonomy he developed software for analysing networks within UK corporate data that has since been used by journalists at Bellingcat and the Financial Times. He holds degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Design Informatics from the University of Edinburgh and previously worked in Applied AI at IBM and Seldon.
