Sean Greaves is a technologist and researcher based in London. He works at the Autonomy Institute, a think tank developing data-driven tools for sustainable economic planning. From 2023, he led the institute's R&D into large language models as an accelerant for the work of researchers, journalists, campaigners and auditors.
Prior to Autonomy he developed software for analysing networks within UK corporate data that has since been used by journalists at Bellingcat and the Financial Times. He holds degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Design Informatics from the University of Edinburgh and previously worked in Applied AI at IBM and Seldon.
